Emma Wicks Clinical Hypnotherapist Dip. H. and Psychotherapist

A verified member of both the APHP (Asssociation for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy) and the NRPC (National Register of Psychotherapist and Counsellors), I earned my hypnotherapy diploma qualification through an extensive classroom-based training course created by the world-renowned Hypnotherapist and trainer Terence Watts.

As a Psychology Graduate, I have always been fascinated by how the mind works. Especially how our life experiences shape us.

Having previously worked within education for nearly two decades in both mainstream and special schools settings as a fully qualified teacher, Nationally Accredited Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and Local Authority EHCP SEND Advisory teacher; I have always been passionate about helping others to grow and achieve their goals.

My interest in hypnotherapy was first sparked when pregnant and the desire to have a calm birth lead me to try hypnobirthing. I was shocked by how calm and controlled I felt in labour and decided to try hypnotherapy for other areas of my life too.

I felt empowered that with the guidance from my hypnotherapist, I discovered the tools within myself to take control and overcome negative thought patterns and behaviours that had developed through the process of simply living life.

I found myself enjoying my sessions and how solution-focussed they were without having to spend hours reliving the past and I began to see changes for the better. It helped me to have the confidence to make important changes to my life that I had been too scared to do before.

This has resulted in the strong conviction I have today that hypnotherapy is an amazing solution-focussed therapy that leads to empowering positive changes. Often in a quicker and more comfortable manner than other therapies and I wanted others to experience it too.
